Keys + Lauer Architects was founded in 1984 and has been continuously providing architectural services in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region. Our firm strives to create architecture that fuses innovative design with practicality to meet the goals of our clients. We strongly believe that our attentive professional service to both the client and to the project is instrumental to the success of the built project and the overall experience for the client.  

The foundation of the firm’s practice and its success has been based on building enduring relationships with Owner / Clients that have continued long-term facility needs. The fundamentals in maintaining these relationships have been strong Principal involvement with all projects in the office and a commitment to quality and service from the entire staff.

The firm’s work has been diverse over the years with an emphasis in the banking, commercial, medical, religious, and educational project types for institutional and governmental clients. Projects are performed by a variety of means including traditional Owner/Architect/Contractor, Partnered Teaming, and Design Build.

Keys + Lauer Architects is committed to the responsible stewardship of our natural resources. We understand that the built environment consumes a large percentage of the overall energy usage in the developed world and contributes significant amounts to the waste stream during construction and at the end of a buildings life. We are committed to doing our part for the health of the environment by embracing the concepts and principals of sustainability as an integral part of the design process.

We work with our client and design team to balance long term operational costs with initial construction costs, and keeping a focus on increasing the efficient use of energy, water, and materials. This collaborative approach results in lower facility operating costs, improved occupant comfort and productivity, improved indoor air quality, and reduced contribution to the waste stream. 

We support the principles of the US Green Building Council and are a member firm.  Lisa Carpenter is a LEED Accredited Professional.
